Kevin Owocki, the founder of Gitcoin, said in an interview that he hopes Gitcoin will become a key platform on which all other projects in the ecosystem depend to resist Sybil attacks and finance public goods. Therefore, the current focus is on establishing public funding and anti-Sybil infrastructure. The platform claims to have funded over 3,000 different projects since its establishment in 2019, donating over $50 million to support public goods, and the cumulative market value of funded projects has reached $28.2 billion.
