Andrew joined Macquarie in 1985 and has been instrumental in the growth of the Commodities and Financial Markets business over the past three decades.

After roles in the Futures and Bullion business, Andrew became Joint Head of Bullion and Commodities in 1993. He was appointed Head of Commodities and Financial Markets in 1997.

Building on Commodities and Financial Markets foundations in Australia and New Zealand, he has driven its expansion to become a global portfolio of businesses across commodity and financial markets. The platform now offers over 140 products across more than 25 markets.

Under Andrew’s leadership, Commodities and Financial Markets has expanded to include energy markets such as North American Gas & Power, European Gas & Power and Global Oil; US credit markets; freight; and Asian markets; as well as a broad spectrum of physical commodity trading and financing.

In November 2016 Andrew was appointed Head of Commodities and Global Markets (CGM) following the merger of Macquarie Securities Group and Commodities and Financial Markets.

CGM brings together Macquarie's highly regarded execution, research, derivatives, trading, fixed income, foreign exchange and commodities businesses to provide clients with an integrated, end-to-end service across global markets.
