Andrew is the Chief Medical Officer of Aspire Healthcare, a home and outpatient-based palliative care company based in Nashville, TN. Prior to his role at Aspire, Andrew was the Director of Palliative Medicine at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, CA, the hospital's internal medicine residency program director, as well as the vice-chairman of medicine.

He received his medical training from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center. Dr. Lasher completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Stanford Hospital and Clinics, and a fellowship in Palliative Medicine at Stanford Hospital and Clinics and the Palo Alto Veterans Affairs hospital. He is the co-author of The End of Life Handbook, a practical guide for families of seriously ill patients.
