AnHai Doan is a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. AnHai also served as Chief Scientist of WalmartLabs and Kosmix (acquired by Walmart). AnHai's big data expertise includes data integration, data / schema / ontology matching, information extraction, text management, searching structured data, building knowledge bases and crowdsourcing. AnHai earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Kossuth Lajos University in Debrecen, Hungary; a Master of Science from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee; and a doctorate from the University of Washington, Seattle, all in Computer Science. AnHai is the recipient of the 2007 Sloan Fellowship Award, the 2004 CAREER Award, and the 2003 ACM Doctoral Dissertation Award. AnHai co-authored “Principles of Data Integration,” a textbook published by Morgan-Kaufmann in 2012.
