Bill Richter is President of the Isilon Storage Division of EMC. With revenues of $21.7 billion in 2012 and 60,000 people worldwide, EMC is a global leader in enabling businesses and service providers to transform their operations and deliver IT as a service. Fundamental to this transformation is cloud computing. Through innovative products and services, EMC accelerates the journey to cloud computing, helping IT departments to store, manage, protect, and analyze their most valuable asset—information—in a more agile, trusted, and cost-efficient way.As the leader of EMC's Isilon Storage Division, Richter oversees all aspects of Isilon's business including worldwide sales and services, channel strategy, product development, marketing, strategic business and financial initiatives, IT and technical support. The division's portfolio includes a range of industry-leading scale-out NAS storage products, all driven by the groundbreaking OneFS Operating System.Prior to his current role, Richter was the CFO of Isilon Systems, a role in which he successfully defined and implemented strategies for rapid sales growth, operational scale and dramatic market expansion. After EMC acquired Isilon in 2010, Richter led the business integration of Isilon Systems and EMC and, since 2011, served as the VP of Finance and Business Operations for EMC's Mid-range storage products (the Isilon and Unified Storage Divisions).Before joining Isilon in 2007, he held senior leadership positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Amazon. The Los Angeles-native graduated from the University of Washington's Foster School of Business with a bachelor's degree in Finance. He currently serves on the Board of the Washington Technology Industry Alliance.
