Brian joined Deloitte as a staff accountant in September 1994 and worked his way up to Manager in the audit practice in 1999. At that time, he was selected for a 2-year assignment at Deloitte’s National Office Headquarters in Wilton, CT, during which he worked closely with the firm’s Managing Partner, Vice Chairmen and other senior firm leaders in developing strategies for client service and retention, targeting efforts, firm operational decisions and partner and professional development.

Subsequent to the National assignment, Brian worked as a Senior Manager in Deloitte’s Special Acquisition Services (M&A) practice in San Francisco working on a number of complex transactions across multiple industries.

Brian joined Hewlett Packard (HP) in May 2003 leading HP’s SEC reporting group, moving into an Investor Relations (IR) Director role one year later. While in IR, he managed investor relationships in over 15 countries and he was part of a team nominated by Investor Relations Magazine as most improved large cap investor relations team.

In November 2006, Brian moved to San Diego, CA and from that time through September 2014, he held a series of Divisional CFO roles across HP’s PC and Printing divisions and operational sales regions. From October 2014 to December 2015, he led the Separation Management Office, spearheading HP’s efforts to separate into two publicly traded Fortune 50 companies. At the time, it was the largest such split in US history.

From December 2015 to August 2020, Brian was the Divisional CFO for HP’s 3D business unit -an organic start up business within HP, Inc. offering a portfolio of additive manufacturing solutions and supplies to help customers succeed in their additive and digital manufacturing journey.

Brian joined Petco in September 2020 as Senior Vice President of Finance, reporting to Petco’s CFO. He was an integral member of the team responsible for Petco’s successful Initial Public Offering in January 2021. Day to day he is responsible for all aspects of the finance function and operations, including budgeting, forecasting, Investor Relations, Controllership and Treasury.

In August of 2021, Brian was appointed to Chief Financial Officer at Petco.
