Mr. Fong is a founding Managing Director at Biomark Capital, a life sciences private equity fund formed in 2013.

Prior to BioMark Capital, Mr. Fong was a Managing Director and General Partner at Burrill & Company, where he spent almost 16 years investing in and managing investments in private and public companies in the biotechnology industry. Some of Mr. Fong's most notable investments include Pharmasset (VRUS), Novadaq Technologies (NVDQ), Galapagos (GLPG), Morphotek, Ceptaris Therapeutics, and Ferrokin Biosciences. Mr. Fong held positions as a research scientist with two early stage biotechnology companies located in the San Francisco Bay Area. Mr. Fong currently serves on the Boards of Directors of a number of life science companies including NEOS Therapeutics, Neurotech Pharmaceuticals, ADMA Biologics (ADMA), Acusphere (ACUS), i2Dx, WaveTec Vision, JHL Biotech, and Nora Therapeutics.

Mr. Fong earned his bachelor's degree with honors in Molecular and Cell Biology-Biochemistry from the University of California, Berkeley.
