David Kozischek has more than 20 years of experience in communications technology and a profound commitment to Corning Cable Systems products and services.Mr. Kozischek’s position is Market Manager, Enterprise Networks, for Corning Cable Systems. In this role Mr. Kozischek is responsible for Corning Cable Systems overall market position and profitability in Data Centers and Local Area Networks. Mr Kozischek is also responsible for creating segmented marketing strategies and value props to drive customer demand.Prior to this position Mr. Kozischek’s spent nine years as Manager of Strategic Technology for Corning Cable Systems. In this role Mr. Kozischek used advanced statistical modeling to drive long-range forecast and new business development at Corning Cable Systems. Mr. Kozischek also provided the strategic direction for sales and marketing and anticipated the critical success factors for continued growth in the cable, connector and hardware space.Mr. Kozischek rejoined Corning Cable Systems in 1999 after a year as Customer Support Engineer for Cisco Systems. In his tenure with Cisco, he solved more than 400 network cases and gained working knowledge of Cisco routers and routing protocol, analyzed and configured small to medium networks of various levels of complexity, and utilized test equipment and configurations in the lab for simulations of real network problems.Prior to this position, Mr. Kozischek spent nine years in Engineering Services with Corning Cable Systems. From 1993 to 1999, he was Senior Systems Engineer. In this capacity, he provided broadband CATV system designs and LAN/WAN system designs using multimode and single-mode optical fibers.In addition, he provided technical support and instructed classes for CATV and LAN/WAN internal and external customers concerning design, theory and optical hardware.From 1990 to 1993, Mr. Kozischek was Senior Project Engineer. In this role, he provided services in field engineering for optical fiber splicing, termination and testing. During this time, he spliced and terminated more than 5000 optical fibers. In addition, he managed optical fiber installations and conducted more than 40 classes in fiber optic theory, installation, splicing and field connectorization.Mr. Kozischek is involved in the industry through participation in the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) and The International Society for Optical Engineers (SPIE). He also participates in various courses including, Introduction to Cisco Router Configuration, Cisco Internetwork Design, LAN/WAN Fundamentals, Broadband Communication Network Design (GI), Introduction to Network Protocols, and Residential Broadband Design.Mr. Kozischek has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University, Raleigh, North Carolina, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration/Economics from the University of North Carolina, Wilmington, North Carolina.
