David Mobley is an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Chemistry at the University of California, Irvine. He received the Hewlett-Packard Outstanding Junior Faculty award from the American Chemical Society, and has received funding from the National Institutes of Health and the National Science Foundation. He is an expert in the area of free energy calculations, developing new approaches for both absolute and relative binding free energy calculations. His research interests include methodology for free energy calculations, protein-ligand interactions, understanding allostery, and applications of free energy methods to problems in drug discovery.
