Duncan Littlejohn joined Paul Capital in 2008 after having worked as a consultant to the firm since early 2007. He is the Latin American representative of Paul Capital based in São Paulo. In Brazil since 1989, he has been active in principal investing in the US and Brazil and in corporate finance. He was previously a partner of BPE Investimentos and its predecessor, Brasilpar, a Brazilian primary private equity fund manager. Before joining Brasilpar in 1995, he was Director and President and major shareholder of AVM Auto-equipamentos Ltda, a local auto parts manufacturer and Partner of Pirelli Fintec Ltda, a financial advisory firm associated with the Pirelli Group. He began his career in New York with the S&W Berisford (UK) Group concentrating on the coffee, cocoa and sugar business. He spent 10 years in Ecuador as CEO of Productos Ecuatorianos (Prodec) a leading coffee and cocoa exporter. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania where he majored in International Relations. He has served on the boards of various portfolio companies, associations and non profit organizations and is currently a board member of ABVCAP, the Brazilian private equity and venture capital association.
