Mingfeng (Farris) Wu is an interdisciplinary entrepreneur who has successfully co-founded and expanded three businesses in three industries: consumer technology, venture capital and commercial real estate.

Farris conceived of, co-founded, and served as CEO of a VC-backed fast growing company: DecorMatters. DecorMatters is building a user-centric platform to re-define the experience of home design and furniture shopping, by leveraging patented pending technologies of Augmented Reality (AR), Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence (AI). DecorMatters is making home design easy and fun.

Prior to DecorMatters, Farris co-founded and served as managing director of ZenStone Venture Capital (ZenStoneVC.com), to bridge China capital and innovations in Silicon Valley. He invested in 40+ technology companies at early stage. The entire portfolio has been valued more than $2 billion and raised more than $500 million capital. Farris was named to Top 20 Best Cross-Border Venture Capitalists by China Venture and Hurun Midas List in 2016.

Prior to ZenStone, Farris co-founded and served as managing director of Alpha Realty Capital (ARC, ARealtyCapital.com), a vertically integrated firm offering commercial real estate investment, property value add, and property management services to HNW families and financial institutions in China. This firm currently has more than $100M asset under management, and generates more than 8% annual cash distribution and 25% IRR to limited partners.

Prior to ARC, Farris developed the most sophisticated fast computing algorithms for solving cutting-edge physics problems. After Ph.D. graduation, he joined Applied Materials to conduct strategic project development and help executives bring strategic technology from concept to product.

Farris obtained Ph.D. from University of Texas at Austin, and B.S. and M.S. from Harbin Institute of Technology, China. He published 30+ papers in top academic journals and 8+ technology patents.
