Gautham has been a Partner with the Tata Opportunities Fund since 2013. Previously, he was a Director with Actis in Mumbai since 2009 and a Principal at Warburg Pincus in London since 2001. His investing and board level experience covers the technology, business services, financial services, industrial and consumer sectors including venture, growth and leveraged buyouts. Gautham started his career in 1995 with JP Morgan in London handling Fixed Income and Mergers & Acquisitions. He has also worked at the BBC, Cricinfo, and at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland.

Gautham graduated with an MBA from INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France. He also holds an MA (Scholar) from St John's College, University of Cambridge and a M.Sc. in Computer Science from Imperial College, University of London.
