George L. Gould, Ph.D. has been with Aspen Aerogels since its inception in 2001 and has served as Vice President, Research and Development since April 2011.

Prior to joining Aspen Aerogels, Dr. Gould was employed by its predecessor, Aspen Systems. Prior to joining Aspen Systems, Dr. Gould was a chemistry professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Dr. Gould holds a B.A. in Chemistry from the College of Wooster, a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from Yale University and carried out his post-doctoral training at Brookhaven National Laboratory.
