Ikenna Okezie is Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Somatus, a value-based provider of integrated and coordinated care to patients with kidney disease. Somatus partners with providers and payors to improve outcomes for patients with or at risk for developing chronic kidney disease and end-stage renal disease. Prior to founding Somatus, Ikenna led the mid-Atlantic operations for DaVita Healthcare Partners, a $1 billion business unit with 225 outpatient dialysis centers, 70 hospital-based dialysis units, and 4,000 teammates. He has also served as a partner of The Advisory Board Company and engagement manager at McKinsey & Company. Ikenna enjoys contributing to the community, including as a former member of the Medical Review Board of Medicare’s End-stage Renal Disease Network and past co-chair of the Region III Health Equity Council of the U.S. National Partnership for Action to End Health Disparities. He earned a Doctor of Medicine from Harvard Medical School, a Master of Business Administration, graduating with Honors, from Harvard Business School, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, graduating cum laude, from Yale University. Ikenna is a Fellow of the inaugural class of the Health Innovators Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
