JC Raby is a Co-Founder and Partner at Boston Meridian – the leading Advisor to InfoSec firms - and has more than 20 years of investment banking experience in Technology Mergers and Acquisitions as well as private and public financings. JC has represented InfoSec companies in acquisitions to AWS, Accenture, Blue Coat, Cisco, Flexera, Forescout, IBM, Intel/McAfee, Lockheed Martin, LogMeIn, NCC, NTT, RSA, Symantec and Verisign, among others, and is a recognized expert on the Cyber-Security market and frequent speaker on the Cyber-Security market. Prior to founding Boston Meridian, JC was a senior executive for Thomas Weisel Partners (now Stifel Financial) a leading San Francisco-based merchant bank in which JC ran the Boston Investment Banking Group, with responsibility to grow the firm’s relationships with leading East Coast technology firms as well as the New England private equity community. Prior to joining Thomas Weisel Partners, JC was a Vice President at Montgomery Securities (now Bank of America Securities) where he was responsible for the execution of merger and acquisition transactions; and began his career in the Corporate Finance group at PaineWebber Inc. (now UBS Securities). JC also ran Corporate Strategy at Akamai Technologies (Nasdaq: AKAM), a global provider of content-delivery and managed security services, where he worked directly with the Senior executive team to help develop and manage the Company’s corporate finance offerings, interact with Wall Street research and drive increased institutional ownership. JC is an early stage investor in InfoSec companies including Blue Lava and Entertainment and Media companies including Faze Clan and Encañtos Media. JC holds a BA in International Relations and Latin American Commerce from Brown University where he was an All-Ivy Division 1 National Champion rower. JC lives in the Bay Area where he enjoys kite boarding and sailboat racing.
