Jason is the Founding Partner and Managing Director of Subconscious Ventures. The firm focuses on seed stage investments in SaaS, Marketplace, and Consumer technology companies.

Previously, Jason co-founded and was the CEO of Yello, which is the leader in university recruiting. Today Jason remains an active board member helping to provide the company strategic guidance.

As one of Chicago’s fastest-growing tech companies, Yello helps organizations go from “hello” to “hire” on a single platform developed to meet, engage, capture and nurture the right job candidates. Under Jason’s helm, Yello’s enterprise-level client partners, including more than 100 Fortune 500 companies and dozens more high-growth organizations, rely on Yello to power their recruitment programs.

Jason’s journey started as a marketing major at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where he teamed up with Dan Bartfield and won a business plan competition for a product designed to help college students find jobs online - at a time when “online” was a nascent concept. The college project was later funded by Subway founder, Fred DeLuca, and became a successful business, eCampusRecruiter. After selling eCampusRecruiter, Jason took a year off in Paris with his family before returning to the states, to again team up with Dan and found Yello (previously known as Recsolu).

Jason’s serial entrepreneurship and business savvy has been noticed by other investors, as well. Yello's funding rounds have exceeded $46M.

Jason holds a B.S. degree in Marketing from Miami University.
