John Xiao joined Nordstrom in 2016 where he served as the company’s director of technology. In his current role as vice president of connected digital experience technology, he supports multiple product groups including customer mobile apps, employee apps, omnichannel experiences, Looks and in-store technology. John and his team work to leverage machine learning models, microservices architecture and cloud infrastructure to help customers connect with salespersons and stylists. His team’s goal is to help assist customers in discovering new products and engaging with services both online and in stores. Prior to Nordstrom, John held notable roles at Expedia and Amazon. He received his bachelor of science and masters in computer science from the University of Texas at Dallas.
