As CEO and Managing Partner at SoftBank Ventures Asia, JP oversees and makes investment in high-tech startups in Asia, Israel, US, and EU.

His latest investment includes Mythic, SNOW China, Hyperconnect, MyMusicTaste, and Lunit.

Prior to joining SoftBank, JP was Co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer of Enswers, a video search technology company which was acquired by Tribune Media in 2015. He commercialized and drove the development of ACR(Automatic Content Recognition) while he was at Enswers. He also work as a business development director at GOM TV, the largest online VOD service in Korea. JP was instrumental in funding led by CJ, negotiating multi-million dollar technology licensing deals with Google, Intel, and Warner Brothers.

JP’s previous experience includes Entrepreneur in Residence at Softbank Korea and Founder and CEO of a start-up company named Evixar, which developed and provided the largest PC remote control service in Japan. Currently, the head office of Evixar in Korea has been acquired by Dacom in 2004. JP studied at KAIST, majoring in Computer Science.
