Laura Gaviria Halaby as part of SoftBank Latin America Operating Group. she attended to Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Laura has more that 15+ years of experience designing and implementing innovation strategies, managing teams, projects and companies.

In her previous role as Citi’s Global Head of Fintech Acceleration, she traveled around the different tech ecosystems of the world and met with developers, innovators, government, entrepreneurs and industry leaders. Before joining Citi, she was a founding partner and CEO of Broker Dealer and Fund Manager in Colombia.

She is also a mentor, advisor and angel investor of several startups and an open innovation and Fintech thought leader. She holds a Masters from MIT in Innovation (as a Sloan Fellow), is recipient of the MIT Legatum Fellowship and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s in Applied Mathematics from American University in Washington DC.
