Just a creative mind that ended up in the business world.

I am a product designer by root, that happened to make her own product idea a reality.
I am in love with utopian product ideas, persuaded by the importance of creatives in strategic positions, and obsessed with interesting futuristic ideas and brand related topics. I am driven by the idea to find a fast & smooth transition from the way we live today to the way we should live tomorrow. You will therefore find a lot of content about “life-centered design” on my platform.
I am NOT a finance or classic business person! Therefore, you won't find any pure number related topics and self adulating business blabla on here, but instead truthful, authentic and sometimes maybe even a little philosophic, stories from the startup world.

The company, i originally never planned on founding, is today called air up. I co-founded it in a team of five highly diverse minds and characters. The idea of air up is based on my co-founders Tim and my Bachelor thesis, in which we discovered the potential of scent-based taste and developed a first functional prototype.
Air up is a drinking system, that flavours pure water just by scent. It tricks your brain into thinking, you're drinking something with flavour, even though it is just pure water without anything added. Air up is the healthiest flavoured convenience drink out there, but also has the potential to reduce the footprint of flavoured drinks due to its efficient pod-system.

Fast-forward ‘til now, we managed to grow air up from a small team of five friends to a globally connected tribe of around 220 air uppies with 33 different nationalities and even more different cultural backgrounds!

During that time I have learnt a lot, of course about how to found a business, grow a team, brand a product etc., but also I have learnt a lot about myself. I am more than proud of what we have accomplished in only 2 years, but more often I am stuck in daily challenges with my head in the clouds. It’s a roller coaster ride with daily surprises on the way.
