Olga Kanovich was born on February 10, 1971, in Belaya Tserkov, Kyiv Region, the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic.

In 1993 she graduated from the Plekhanov Russian Academy of Economics, specialising in Finance and Credit (cum laude diploma).

During the period from 1994 to 2000 she held various positions in Probusinessbank Joint-Stock Commercial Bank, being the Head of Banking Technology Management Department.

She served as a member of the Executive Board and Director of Operations Department at VTB-24.

From 2000 to 2003 she headed the Banking Processes Department at Alfa-Bank.

From 2003 to 2004 she held the positions of the Processes and Technologies Director and the Managing Director of Processes and Technologies Department at Alfa Eco M (presently А1).

From 2004 to 2008 she held the position of Senior Vice President, Director of Operations Department and a member of the Executive Board at VTB24 Bank.

On February 2008 she joined Sberbank as Senior Vice President and runs the Operations Block.

She was awarded the Order for Distinguished Service of Grade II. Honoured by Citation of the President of the Russian Federation.
