Richard A. Baldridge is the president and chief operating officer of [ViaSat](https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/viasat#/entity), a manufacturer of satellite and other digital communication products that enable secure communications to any location. In his current positions, Baldridge is responsible for leading corporate strategy and operations for the ViaSat as a whole, guiding and evaluating the company’s operating segments, and cultivating and maintaining relations with the investor community.

Previously, Baldridge served Raytheon Corporation where he was vice president and general manager of its Raytheon Training Systems division. His other experience includes roles as chief operating officer, CFO, and vice president of finance and administration for Hughes Information Systems and Hughes Training Inc., before the divisions were acquired by Raytheon in 1997. He also held various senior management roles within General Dynamics Corporation.

Baidridge holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, and an emphasis in information systems from New Mexico State University, Las Cruces, where he is a member of the NMSU School of Business Hall of Fame. He serves on the board of CommNexus, a non-profit industry association that works to accelerate the formation, growth, and success of the technology industry in the San Diego region.
