Rob Porell is the Chief Financial Officer at Semperis and leads its accounting, finance, and budgeting team. Rob started his career with Coopers & Lybrand, a Big Eight accounting firm (now PwC) where he became Senior Manager and earned his CPA license from New York State. He holds a BA in Economics from Harvard University and MS in Accounting from NYU Stern School of Business.

Prior to Semperis, Rob was Partner and CFO at Gefinor Capital, a private equity and venture capital firm in New York, overseeing investments in software companies and serving on boards. Other investments included businesses in the optical circuit switching, semiconductor, and manufacturing sectors. During his tenure with Gefinor, he led the turnaround, growth, and sale of Madame Alexander. Most recently, Rob was CFO of Waltz, Inc. a software security startup that was sold to WeWork.
