As Director of Information Solutions, Robert Missig brings over 26 years of experience in delivering performance-based, value-driven, integrated IT solutions to our clients. Over his career, he has built a comprehensive expertise in executing both tactical and strategic IT projects across a wide-range of commercial and governmental organizations. For the past 11 years, Robert has been working with TransVoyant’s DoD clients at TACOM, TARDEC, SOCOM and USMC. His teams have built and supported enterprise architecture, knowledge portals, and global custom applications in both Fleet and Risk Management. Robert has received a 3 Star Letter from Richard L. Kelly, Lieutenant General USMC and a Defense Manufacturing Excellence Award. Robert started his career as a self-taught programmer at Engineering Mechanics Research Corp., a software firm which serviced the automotive industry. At EMRC, he developed a business application to automate mailroom operations which stayed in service for over 5 years with little maintenance. Robert then moved into Marketing Research as a Programmer and was promoted to IT Manager, where he built and managed multi-city IBM S/36 and Novell networks. He serviced major clients such as Procter & Gamble, developing computerized systems for consumer surveys, cross tabulation, data analytics, and perceptual mapping. Robert’s next challenge was as an IT Manager for the City of Detroit Health Department, where he was principally involved in developing a joint Federal, State and City project to integrate city-wide addiction treatment facilities with the central intake center and criminal justice system, to combat a narcotics epidemic. Additionally, Robert served as the IT steering committee chair. Robert went on to found his own consultant business, managing GulfStream Aerospace’s enterprise network migration, during the rollout of the GulfStream 5 (GV) Corporate Jet. The project supported the areas of engineering, mechanics, maintenance and FAA regulations compliance. Robert then joined FutureLink, an Application (as a) Service Provider. Robert managed large IT systems engineering projects, specializing in enterprise-level Server Based Computing, ERP integration, SANs, Security, Firewall and Encryption technologies. Robert’s clients included leading organizations such as KeyCorp, Cleveland Clinic, AT&T, BP Oil, Cummins, Parker-Hannifin, Waste Mgmt and RR Donnelley. After FutureLink, Robert joined Siemens Business Services as a Senior Project Manager supporting Owens Corning Inc. At OC, Robert completed the 100+ site North American Active Directory and Router Migration Project and the 6800+ Corporate Desktop Refresh Project. Robert also led the Quality Management Project, developing an Incident Management System automating the quality incident review, follow-up and resolution process. Additionally, Robert was acknowledged for his crisis management skills, as he led an international rapid response to a major cyber event. In addition to a BBA in Information Technology with Honors from Davenport University, Robert holds several industry certifications in Novell, Citrix, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), and Project Management Professional (PMP). Robert received Carnegie Mellon based CMMi Level 2 Certification Training, and was selected as division lead for CMMi Appraisal Team process.
