Ron joined WealthEngine in April of 2010 bringing more than thirty years of business experience to the company, including ten years in public accounting and 20 years in private industry.

In 2008, Ron founded Venture Financial Management LLC (VFM) which provided CFO and financial management services to emerging growth technology companies in the Washington, DC metro area.

Prior to forming VFM, he held CFO positions with several emerging growth companies including Synchris, Inc., Everest Software, Inc., Entevo Corporation and Visix Software, Inc. where he was responsible for finance, legal, human resources, and administrative functions.

Mr. Smith graduated with a B.A degree in economics from the Colorado College and holds an M.B.A. degree from the University of Southern California. He is a member of the American Institute of CPA’s and the Virginia Society of CPA’s.
