Simon lives in Shanghai, China. Mandarin-speaking, he brings to Xeros 28 years of experience in setting up and growing businesses in China. He has delivered over £1 billion in investments, JV’s, M&A and projects in China, first for P&O in shipping, construction, exhibition halls, and water treatment plants, and then for US Fortune 500 company Corning Incorporated in high tech and manufacturing from 2000 to 2008 as President of Corning China.

He is currently a Venture Partner with SMC Capital China in Shanghai, a VC firm investing in fast-growing Chinese companies. Recent work includes serving as a Director or consultant for early-stage clean-tech companies in wind energy, water technologies, and biomass energy. He is a University of Oxford and University of Pennsylvania graduate.
