Tsutomu Yoshida is President & CEO since July 2013 and serves as a director of Japan Venture Capital Association.
Originally trained as macroeconomics & industry analyst at Research Div. of Mitsui & Co., Ltd, he has devoted his entire career for last 25 years to the field of strategic investment and private equity mainly in US and Japan.

In 1987 he started as an investment manager for US ventures, then obtained first hand experiences in LBO/MBO by working in the office of one of the largest buyout funds in New York.

In 1990s, he returned to Japan to expand his capacity as a turn-around manager, seconded to some of Mitsui’s subsidiaries. In 1999 he successfully launched and thereafter managed a Japanese mid-market private equity fund of US$100 as a Managing Partner.
