William Mougayar is a Toronto-based investor, researcher, blogger, and best-selling author of The Business Blockchain (Wiley, 2016). He is a direct participant in the crypto-technology market, working alongside startups, entrepreneurs, pioneers, leaders, innovators, creators, enterprise executives and practitioners.

William is the general partner at Virtual Capital Ventures, an early stage venture capital fund, and currently on the Board of Directors of OB1, the OpenBazaar open source protocol that is pioneering decentralized peer-to-peer commerce, a Board Advisor to the Ethereum Foundation, a member of OMERS Ventures Board of Advisors, an Advisory Board member to the Coin Center and Bloq. He blogs regularly about the present and future of blockchains at Startup Management.

Previously, he held senior positions at Hewlett-Packard, Cognizant and Aberdeen Group, and he founded 3 startups, CYBERManagement, Eqentia, and Engagio.
